I have loved my 430 & 60 inch deck for cutting my 3.3 acres up and down. The deck is hard to get on and off, I can't find an FEL; needs a 3pt hitch, but has low hours and the tractor loves me...never complains or nags. But I want a FEL! New 2210 is 12900 - 4000 trade for 430. 8900 gets me the FEL, four wheel drive, 3 more hp and two more inches of cutting deck. Its also brand new. Is the 2210 as reliable, sturdy, Will I be happy? (sounds like a marriage question)
Seriously though,
Marc

I can't imagine you not liking the 2210. The thing about the older 400's (and even the new X400) The loaders won't lift as much weight. 350 lbs vs 620 lbs. And the loader for the 2210 cost about 1/3 less to buy. In the case of the older 430 models.. the loaders and 3 pt hitch kits are hard to find.
You also will enjoy the MFWD.
I would try to get an extra $500 for the 430 if it is low hours and looks like new. You may not get it, but it's worth asking for.
Hope you enjoy your new tractor. ....

You didn't mention specifics, but I hope your dealer packaged a rear counterweight to go with FEL or that you have wheel weights because you'll definitely need one or the other. ....

Yes, the dealer has included the counterweight basket.
Thanks for your reply.

I purchased my 2210 last spring, and have been very pleased with it. I have the mid mount 62" deck, and it goes off and on in a snap. The loader does have plently of lifting capacity, and I agree with the previous writer's comments regarding the counter weight. The four wheel drive makes all the difference if your do any digging. I don't think you can go wrong. It's alot of bang for the buck, in my opinion. ....
